Deb is a proven problem solver, known for her ability to balance creativity and common sense with every challenge. Her experience spans organisational change, strategic and business planning, business case development, inquiry submissions, and community engagement.

Deb has a unique ability to work with diverse stakeholders, to bring people and perspectives together, and achieve real outcomes in sensitive and changing environments. Deb has an especially impressive background in emergency management, working previously at an executive level in the sector.

With her understanding of group dynamics and her warm and reflective style, Deb is regularly engaged to facilitate executive strategy, team planning and community forums for local, state and national clients.

Experience  |  Highlights

Deb has worked across a diverse range of local, state and national organisations, with a particular focus on emergency services, public safety, social health, and collaboration. Deb has:

  • Led the National Review of Warnings and Information, exploring good practice in the design and issue of warnings during emergencies in Australia. The final report included findings and recommendations, adopted nationally.
  • Developed the Country Fire Authority (CFA) Volunteerism Strategy, analysing volunteering trends across Australia, engaging with volunteers across Victoria, shaping strategic priorities and building shared commitment to change.
  • Developed a shared Community Engagement Framework for Victoria’s ten Catchment Management Authorities (CMAs).

Life away from Cube

Inquisitive by nature, Deb loves reading articles and exploring new ideas which challenge the way we think and work. She also thoroughly enjoys all that comes with raising a small boy.
