Liza Gelt


Approachable, proactive and resourceful

Liza has worked as a management consultant in the public and private sectors for over 15 years. She is passionate about focusing on projects that make a difference, and particularly enjoys the challenges of balancing competing interests with stakeholder demands.

Liza made the move to Cube Group to be part of an organisation that lives its values and creates enduring, positive change in the community.

Liza is known for her ability to quickly understand and articulate each client’s challenges and identify the best approach forward. Her specialist skills include strategy development, problem definition and solution design, stakeholder and process management, governance reviews and the evaluation of services and programs.

Experience  |  Highlights

Liza brings strong planning and communication skills to all her engagements and has extensive experience across public, private and not for profit sectors. Liza has:

  • Facilitated collaboration across all Australian jurisdictions for the National Fire Danger Ratings system, working through various scientific, operational and policy views to achieve a shared goal
  • Facilitated national workshops to support the Bushfire and Natural Hazards Cooperative Research Centre (BNHCRC) to develop the national research agenda for the emergency management sector for the next 5-10 years
  • Facilitated a series of workshops, using a strength based approach, with the Morwell community to support the development of neighbourhood resilience plans
  • Delivered Executive Governance Training at Public Transport Victoria to assist the organisation’s senior executive team

Life away from Cube

Liza loves to travel and enjoy the outdoors with her young family.

Liza also spends her time contributing to the Melbourne Fringe Festival as a Board Member and Chair of Finance and Risk Committee.
