Liza Gelt


Approachable, proactive and resourceful

Liza is passionate about making a difference. As an experienced management consultant who works with organisations that deliver public value, she particularly enjoys the challenges of engaging with senior executives to address complex policy problems, balance competing stakeholder interests and maximise public value outcomes.

Liza made the move to Cube to be part of an organisation that lives its values and creates enduring, positive change in the community.

Liza is known for her ability to quickly understand and articulate each client’s challenges and identify the best approach forward. Her specialist skills include strategy development, problem definition and solution design, stakeholder engagement, governance reviews and the evaluation of services and programs.

In her life outside Cube, Liza loves to travel and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.

Experience  |  Highlights

  • Facilitated national cross-sectoral engagement to support development of the National Handbook for ‘Crowded Places and Mass Gatherings’
  • Led the review and update of Victoria’s State Health Emergency Response Plan, incorporating lessons learned following the Thunderstorm Asthma event in 2016, through working with the Victorian health and emergency management sectors
  • Facilitated multiple series of ‘strengths-based’ workshops with Latrobe Valley communities to inform the development of the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan (2017-2021)
  • Worked with NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service to develop its succession planning framework for its fire incident management capability and develop a pragmatic plan for retaining, nurturing and growing its institutional memory
